The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain humorously performs “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.” This is a great example of how the group incorporates comedy into their act.

The original version of this song was written as a short theme song for a Norman Lear TV show, but was never used. The song’s writers, in collaboration with Neil Diamond and others, later expanded the lyrics and the instrumentation. Diamond released the song on a 1977 album, and in early 1978 Barbra Streisand had a big hit with it when she covered it for her album, “Songbird.”
